036: What's Up With All of These Different Denominations?

It doesn't take long to realize that there are literally hundreds of different churches inside of one city–Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Wesleyan, Christian, Brethren, Church of God, Church of Christ, Church of God in Christ, etc. But this isn't even the best part. The best part? There's different types of churches inside each denomination! Some have estimated that there are well over 200 different distinct Christian groups inside Protestantism.
On the episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss how we got these denominations, why it even matters, and ultimately, should it matter? There are some disagreements between the guys on this episode, which resulted in a very long, passionate conversation.

035: Friendship with Unbelievers

Friendships with unbelievers. How is that supposed to work? We hear that we are supposed to impact our world for Christ, and in order to impact the world, you need to be a part of the world. But on the flip side, many of us Christians were taught from an early age that if you are surrounded by bad influences, it can destroy your life. But then you read in the Bible that Jesus was a friend of sinners and scolded the religious people. Isn't there something in the Bible, though, that says, "Don't be unequally yoked?"
In this week's episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss these thoughts and questions while trying to figure out the balance of "How can I be friends whose those of a different faith than me?"

034: The One Sin That Won't Be Forgiven

The unforgivable/unpardonable sin. The sin that so many Christians are scared to commit. Why? Because if you commit this sin, God will never forgive you, resulting in eternal separation from God in hell. But, is this a fear that any Christian should have?

Bonus: The Coronavirus & the Christian's Response

Since being deemed a public health concern in the United State on January 31, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has sent people into a frenzy – store shelves are empty, schools are closing down for the semester, sports have paused their seasons, church are cancelling their gatherings, restaurants are closing their dining rooms, people are being laid off, and people are wondering when the entire economy will eventually crash. What are we as Christians supposed to do in times like these? In fact, is there anything we can do?

033: Personhood Theory & Why It Changes the Pro-Life Conversation

Personhood Theory. You may have never heard of it, but personhood theory simply asks the question, "What makes a person a person?" How one answers this questions directly impacts theirs view on human dignity, worth, and rights. Personhood theory also helps us understand our bodies and the creation of them! People's views on topics from abortion, euthanasia, sex slavery, population control, transgenderism, and homosexuality are all based on how you answer on specific question: What makes a person a person?
On this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss this idea of personhood theory and what it means for both Christians and nonChristians and how this conversation directly impacts our views on the sanctity of human life.

032: Getting Saved Only to Escape Hell?

If you have decided to become a Christian to simply escape torment in hell, are you really saved? Is this enough to get you into heaven when you die? If salvation is the key to eternity, we probably should get this correct.

030: Is the church overusing it's members?

A church is only as good as it's volunteering members, but does the church ask too much of it's volunteers? In the typical church, 20% of the members do 80% of the work. Why is this the case and is there something better that the church can do in order to not overwork or burn out it's members? Or, is this just a part of being a good church member?

029: Can we have both faith & science?

Can a Christian have faith in God but also believe in science? So many Christian put science in one part of their brain and then put faith in a different corner of their brain because modern scientists and atheists say that because of science, we have need for faith. In today's conversation, Marc and Fuller talk about the different types of science, how it's perfectly plausible to have faith but also believe in science, and ultimately, science is not a direct-flight to becoming an atheist.

This week, Marc and Fuller had the privilege to sit down with recording artist John Tibbs and hear what it's like to be a self-made recording artist. We were able to talk with Tibbs about his personal trials and struggles, including a stutter that he had since he was a kid and back problems in the middle of touring season, and how all of this plays into his story of God's goodness.
