In South America, fútbol (soccer) is king. Everyone plays the game, loves the game, and idolizes the soccer local heroes. Some people started to wonder, "if people love soccer so much, can we use this is a bridge to tell people about Jesus?" This is exactly what Joseph and Kimberly Frerichs asked themselves, and they decided to do something about it.
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller sit down with Joseph Frerichs to talk about his journey. He is a third generation missionary to Peru, which means he grew up in the country and is a native. He has been playing soccer competitively in Peru since he was a kid, but left Peru and professional soccer to study ministry here in the states. Now, it's time to head back.
We talk with Joseph about what is was like as a missionary kid, what it takes to get back on the field, what kingdom successes he has seen since starting his mission work, and what it means for his family to uproot their American lives to head back to Peru. At the end of the interview, Kimberly joins us and shares her heart, too! We know you're going to love this conversation.
And if you loved this conversation, please consider support Joseph and Kimberly. They are in need to financial partners to support them as they serve God in Peru. The links are below.

Single and in her mid 20s, Beth Schneider decided to follow God's leading and open her home and heart to foster care. Little did she know that just a handful of years later, she would adopt five girls out of the foster care system!
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller interview Beth Schneider of @schneiderladies to talk with Beth about her journey into foster care and ultimately becoming a single adoptive mom (which apparently was not the plan). We ask Beth why she got into fostering, what "highs" and "lows" has she experienced while being a single mom, and what word of encouragement would she give to someone wanting to step out into fostering. We know you're going to love this episode and love Beth, so make sure you follow her and the girl's story!

038: Can One Love Without God?
Thursday Apr 16, 2020
Thursday Apr 16, 2020
Most Christians know the verse, "We love because God first loved us" (1 John 4:19), but here's a Christian maybe you haven't thought about: If someone doesn't follow Jesus and isn't a Christian, can they love at all? In today's conversation, Marc and Fuller set out to answer this question while answering many other questions about love. In this conversation, they also touch on common grace given to all mankind, while asking if this enough for people to understand, know, and show love in it's purest form.

Monday Apr 13, 2020
Monday Apr 13, 2020
Marc and Fuller went live on Facebook via Zoom on Good Friday 2020 to talk about the beauty of Good Friday. In this episode, we talk about Jesus' entering into Jerusalem, why the crowd went from "Hosanna" to "crucify him" in less than a week, why the Romans wanted Jesus dead, what Jesus accomplished on the cross, and why that's import for us today.
As Protestants, we don't need to be afraid to have a theology of the cross, and we hope that this conversations help you develop your thinking and beliefs.

037: Fertility Education & Medical Management with Sara Nass
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
You may know not it, but contraceptives and family planning has been a moral debate in the church since the introduction of the birth control pill in the 50's & 60's. Since that day, most people just assume that in order to properly plan for a family, there is only one method, which has caused some people to ask, "is there a better way?"
FEMM (family education & medical management) is a process that teaches women (and men, too) how to family plan without the need of contraceptives. FEMM teaches woman how their body works and how God masterfully created them. Sara Nass, a FEMM educator, teaches us about the FEMM process as well as answer many practical and ethical questions that Marc and Fuller had going into this conversation.
Whether you are trying to start a family or plan on starting a family at some point in time, we know that you'll great benefit from today's conversation.

036: What's Up With All of These Different Denominations?
Thursday Apr 02, 2020
Thursday Apr 02, 2020
It doesn't take long to realize that there are literally hundreds of different churches inside of one city–Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Wesleyan, Christian, Brethren, Church of God, Church of Christ, Church of God in Christ, etc. But this isn't even the best part. The best part? There's different types of churches inside each denomination! Some have estimated that there are well over 200 different distinct Christian groups inside Protestantism.
On the episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss how we got these denominations, why it even matters, and ultimately, should it matter? There are some disagreements between the guys on this episode, which resulted in a very long, passionate conversation.

035: Friendship with Unbelievers
Thursday Mar 26, 2020
Thursday Mar 26, 2020
Friendships with unbelievers. How is that supposed to work? We hear that we are supposed to impact our world for Christ, and in order to impact the world, you need to be a part of the world. But on the flip side, many of us Christians were taught from an early age that if you are surrounded by bad influences, it can destroy your life. But then you read in the Bible that Jesus was a friend of sinners and scolded the religious people. Isn't there something in the Bible, though, that says, "Don't be unequally yoked?"
In this week's episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss these thoughts and questions while trying to figure out the balance of "How can I be friends whose those of a different faith than me?"

Thursday Mar 19, 2020
The unforgivable/unpardonable sin. The sin that so many Christians are scared to commit. Why? Because if you commit this sin, God will never forgive you, resulting in eternal separation from God in hell. But, is this a fear that any Christian should have?
In this episode of RTC, Marc & Fuller discuss what the unforgivable sin. They look at the Biblical passages where we find this sin mentioned, who can commit, and ultimately, can a Christian commit this sin.

Bonus: The Coronavirus & the Christian's Response
Monday Mar 16, 2020
Monday Mar 16, 2020
Since being deemed a public health concern in the United State on January 31, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has sent people into a frenzy – store shelves are empty, schools are closing down for the semester, sports have paused their seasons, church are cancelling their gatherings, restaurants are closing their dining rooms, people are being laid off, and people are wondering when the entire economy will eventually crash. What are we as Christians supposed to do in times like these? In fact, is there anything we can do?
Marc and Fuller decided to make a bonus episode and discuss this Coronavirus together, and invite you to listen in on their thoughts about how a Christian should respond.

033: Personhood Theory & Why It Changes the Pro-Life Conversation
Thursday Mar 12, 2020
Thursday Mar 12, 2020
Personhood Theory. You may have never heard of it, but personhood theory simply asks the question, "What makes a person a person?" How one answers this questions directly impacts theirs view on human dignity, worth, and rights. Personhood theory also helps us understand our bodies and the creation of them! People's views on topics from abortion, euthanasia, sex slavery, population control, transgenderism, and homosexuality are all based on how you answer on specific question: What makes a person a person?
On this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss this idea of personhood theory and what it means for both Christians and nonChristians and how this conversation directly impacts our views on the sanctity of human life.
