058: Can Christians Wrestle with Doubt?
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Studies show that over half of all believers wrestle with doubt, specifically regarding if Christianity is the one true religion and if God exists. If those studies are correct, that probably means that if you're reading this, you, at one point or another, have had doubts about your faith. If this is you, you may have wondered, "is this actually okay? Am I losing my faith?"
In this weeks episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss doubt — what we can do when doubts surface, what most people do when doubt arises, where to get answers to your doubt, and most importantly, if doubt is a sign of unbelief.

057: UnChristian-ed Celebrities: Do Their Materials Still Matter?
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
Over the years, Christians have watched many famous Christian personalities and celebrities walk away from the faith that they once preached (e.g., Marty Sampson of Hillsong United, Jon Steingard of Hawk Nelson, Pastor Joshua Harris, author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye, and performing artist Ray Boltz). As many of these celebrities walk away, those still in the faith are stuck with their books, writings, songs, and resources and wonder "what do we do with all of this now?"
In this conversation of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss how we handle Christian celebrities who walk away from the faith (or are in the process of deconstructing their faith) and what we should do with the content that they've produced.

056: Are Tattoos Sinful?
Thursday Sep 10, 2020
Thursday Sep 10, 2020
There's no question that tattoos are taboo in Christian circles – the more "conservative" a church, the fewer members with tattoos (unless those tattoos were from their past life of course), but it seems that more and more pastors, teachers, and Christians have several tattoos. As Christians, we aren't called to live up to the standard of other people, but we are called to live up to God's standards. What is God's standards on this topic?
On today's episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss look at the Bible to see what it has to say about tattoos, but more than that, they discuss if it's a wise move to get tattoos, no matter your standard or belief.

055: What does it mean if the world doesn't hate us?
Thursday Sep 03, 2020
Thursday Sep 03, 2020
"If the world loves you, that must mean you don't love Jesus enough!" Maybe you've heard this phrase before, maybe not, but sadly, we have heard this plenty of times by well intentioned Christians. But is this a true statement? We know Jesus says that if the world hated him that the world would also hate us, but what happens if we find ourself in a place where the world doesn't seem to hate us?
In this weeks episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss just that question and discuss what the litmus test is for those who follow Jesus.

054: What to do about Bible Translations
Thursday Aug 27, 2020
Thursday Aug 27, 2020
There are SO many different Bible translations out there. One question that many new Christians (and seasoned Christians) ask is, "What translation of Bible should I use, and why should I use it?"
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller talk about the various Bible translations that are out there and even discuss their favorite translations. This conversation doesn't go deep into the KJV translation debate, but rather, since we believe that God's Word isn't preserved in one Bible translation, which ones of the many should we use?

053: A Christian's Response to Worldly Authority
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
In today's culture, you can't escape social media posts about civil unrest and disobedience, and the posts don't change once you enter into Christian landscape: Church in-Person vs. Online Services, Masks vs. No Masks, Back the Blue vs. Defund the Police, and the list goes on and on.
In today's episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller look at what the Bible has to say about authority and specifically ask the question: "Is there ever a good time to disobey our governing authorities?"

052: Coffee Mug Christianity
Thursday Aug 13, 2020
Thursday Aug 13, 2020
Christianity has developed some incredibly catchy phrases over the years! In fact, so many of these Christian phrases have become so popular that people purchase hand painted signs, journals, stickers, and coffee mugs with these phrases on them. Some even go as far as getting these phrases tattooed on their body! American Christians love these Christian phrases, but here's a question maybe you've never considered: Are these phrases even Biblical?
In today's episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller look at some of the most popular "Coffee Mug Christianity" phrases in today's Christian circles and put them to the test to see if the Bible affirms counters these popular Coffee Mug Christianity phrases.

Thursday Jul 02, 2020
Thursday Jul 02, 2020
In the Bible, we read that one day, Jesus will return and make all things new – a new heaven, a new earth, and there's even talk of a New Jerusalem, but here's a valid question: "What is all this?" and one like it, "Why does this even matter in my day-to-day life?"
On today's episode, Marc and Fuller sit own to discuss their views on God's new creation and why it should bring encouragement and excitement to the Christian's life.
