Is baptism essential? Most Christians would emphatically say “YES!” but we’ve noticed that to what extent is baptism essential is not always agreed upon. For example, is baptism essential for salvation? For growing in one’s faith? For washing away original guilt? For entrance into heaven? For acceptance into a faith community?
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller start in the Old Testament and work their way through the New Testament in looking for the true meaning of baptism because if we find the purpose of baptism, maybe we can find out why it’s been so important throughout church history and why it’s such a big deal in today‘s church.

Is the gift of tongues still for today? What about healings? Prophecy? Does the Holy Spirit still bless Christians with every spiritual gift mentioned in the Bible, or are certain gifts no longer given? In the last handful of years, conversations around transgenderism have grown to common place to the point where the church now has to ask a question, "How should we think and respond to this movement?" In answering this question and others around the LGBTQ+ community, the church is starting to draw lines in the sand and separating from one another. In doing such, many individual Christians are beginning to also ask questions about transgenderism.
In this episode RTC, Marc and Fuller step into this question with looking to the Bible for answers because if we believe that God created us, we need to see just how he created each person.

At some point in your life, you've probably heard the statement that "the nation is going down the tube because we kicked God out of the public schools," or something similar. Is this really the case though? Did the government kick God out, and are we really in trouble because the Bible and prayer have been taken out of the public school?
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller discuss this topic and ask questions such as, "Should Christians view the government taking Christianity out of the public school "persecution" or wrong?" "Should Christians fight to keep Muslim beliefs out of the Christian school?" and "Should teachers and coaches be allowed to teach their beliefs and convictions?" All around the world, Christians (and even non religious people) know and understand Mary to be a special person in Christian history. Some people believe that she has a special, holy place beside Jesus and that she is one of the key centerpieces of the Christian faith; while other people believe that even though she did give birth to Jesus, there's nothing special about her. So, what are we supposed to do with the Virgin Mary?
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller look at "Mary-ology" to better understand the Catholic viewpoint of Mary, and then they discuss how we should view Mary's role in the life of the believer. Cancel Culture is a recently developed term, but in the last few years, has transformed the way our society both views and responds to companies and celebrities that speaking something that is either objectionable or considered offensive. Now, as Christians we agree that people need to be held accountable for their actions and that we want to see justice administered; however, there seems to be a big disagreement on what should be considered "cancelable" and how we should respond to people who have "made a mistake" at some point in their past.
In this weeks episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller talk about this recent phenomenon of Cancel Culture. They break down what is both good about it, as well as some of the shortfalls that happen because people are quick to cancel anyone and everyone.

Churches and Christians have taken many hits over the last few years. From scandals, accusations of misusing church resources, and so many other church failures to having a culture that seems to be doing its best to silence Christians in the public space, it seems that the church is starting to lose its ability to impact the culture around them. We know that this shouldn't be the case, but in a world that seems so "anti God," how are we supposed to bring the Good News of Jesus to them?
In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller had the opportunity to sit down with Pastor Matt Nichols of Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale, IN to talk about how both he and his church are reaching people both in their community and beyond. Communion, The Lord's Supper, Holy Communion, the Eucharist, or whatever your Christian tradition calls this ordinance, communion has been the center-piece of Christian practice since the founding of the early church. No matter how long you've been a part of a Christian community, every Christian knows that this ordinance comprises of two parts: the wine/grape juice & bread/cracker, but not every Christian knows the history and different views on how communion is supposed to be viewed in the life of the church.
In this episode, Marc and Fuller break down the historical views of communion, explain its importance throughout church history, and discuss how modern Christians should view and understand the practice of communion, both in the life of the Christian and in the life of the church.
